An Annerley man has been charged with attempted murder after a man was allegedly stabbed in the neck in Brisbane's inner south.

Officers were called to Park Road shortly after 11pm on Thursday following reports of a disturbance at Dutton Park.

Police found the 52-year-old victim with a neck wound and was then taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital by paramedics in a critical condition.

On Saturday, a 40-year-old man was charged with attempted murder.

He will appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on on Monday.
