Conversation sparked about safety surrounding 4/20

Season as announcer says, "live local late breaking, this is kezi 9 news at 5" april 20th is known as a celebrated day in the marijuana community all over the u-s.... and here in eugene is no exception.

Kezi 9 news reporter emma jerome spoke with a dispensary owner about what this day entails and the importance on consuming responsibly and safely in tonight's top story.

Emma jerome: "i spoke with the owner here at tjs and he says 420 is like the black friday of the marijuana community and he says even though it's a day they look forward to all year... her wants to still advise people to consume responsibly and stay safe."

Travis mckenzie: "it's a very special day so people in the cannabis culture will celebrate and dispensaries will have deals.

It's like the black friday of marijuana" he says 10 times the amount of customers come into his shop than on a regular day looking to celebrate the holiday.

Even though he says he loves the "holiday" he says that doesn't mean safety takes a day off.

Tm: "it's a great day.
