Jharkhand CM shares poll strategy with party members in Jamshedpur

Chief Minister Raghubar Das gave victory tips to BJP members in his home assembly constituency of Jamshedpur East during his two-day visit, on Friday. Jamshedpur Member of Parliament and party candidate Bidyut Baran Mahato met the CM before he left for Ranchi on Friday.

Addressing the Jamshedpur East BJP core committee, the CM directed to conduct door-to-door visits in each of the 293 polling booths. Booth committees have been asked to meet voters at their residences. Party members have been asked to review polling booth level preparation for the upcoming elections.

Das directed party workers to make people aware about achievements of the union and the state government. He also asked party workers to inform voters about the opportunism of the opposition Grand Alliance and why they should not be elected in the larger national interest.

The Jamshedpur MP met the CM at his residence on Friday. He discussed party preparation in Jamshedpur and informed the CM about his nomination procedure. The MP said that the party members would assemble at Bodhi Mandir in Sakchi before filing nomination on Saturday at the Jamshedpur collectorate. The CM assured Mahato of being present during the nomination filing.

“The CM took a ground report of party campaigning in his home constituency. He gave winning strategy tips to party workers and directed them to ensure maximum votes from his assembly constituency segment of Jamshedpur in the upcoming elections,” a party leader said.

In-charges of seven blocks in Jamshedpur East assembly constituency tabled ground reports of party campaigning in their respective booths. They informed about party activities at 293 polling booths in the constituency and took directions on how to convince voters to vote for Bidyut Baran Mahato.

The CM said that BJP has been getting huge number of votes from the Jamshedpur East assembly segment till previous parliamentary elections. The trend should continue and booth committee in-charges can play a crucial role in this regard. Altogether 10 members of each booth should be trained properly, he added.

Das had got 1,03,427 votes from Jamshedpur East and defeated Congress candidate Anand Bihari Dubey by 70,157 votes in the 2014 assembly elections .
