Vadodara: Actor-turned-politician Shatrughan Sinha, who recently joined Congress fired a fresh salvo at the Prime Minister’s promises which Modi had made in the last general elections.
Sinha who addressed a public meeting at Khanderao Market crossroads on Saturday evening said that Modi had promised that Vadodara will get international airport so that the youth can travel. “He also talked about getting All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) to Vadodara,” Shotgun Sinha added.
Talking about his stint as a minister under then PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Sinha said, “I continued doing good work and promised only things that I could fulfil, unlike my friend Modi.”
Criticizing BJP’s slogan, Sinha said that if there is any political will and ability to struggle then nothing is impossible. “There is no need to make hollow slogans like ‘Modi hai to mumkin hai,’” he added. “Over the time I realized that some people and some big businessmen are handling the BJP and these people are filled with arrogance and ego,” Sinha said, adding, “They only keep talking about 2022 and 2024. But, when you will not remain PM, who will complete all these things? Their story is over now.”
Praising Congress president Rahul Gandhi, he said, “Within a year of his presidentship, Gandhi won three states which is enough to prove who is ‘Pappu’ and who is ‘Feku’!” Sinha, who will be contesting from Patna Sahib seat in Bihar, also another public meeting in Anand in support of former Union minister and Congress candidate Bharatsinh Solanki.
