Now, Lucknow Municipal Corporation to solve civic woes at your doorstep

Lucknow Municipal Corporation LUCKNOW: House tax payers would now be able to get their civic woes addressed right at their doorstep. Lucknow Municipal Corporation (LMC) officials would visit tax payers' homes and resolve any problems they might be facing.
The move comes after LMC decided to waive interest and offer 20% discount on the principle amount to all residents, who had defaulted on house taxes for five-six years.
Municipal commissioner Indramani Tripathi, said, "The complaints made by tax payers would be recorded and be resolved within three days."
Officials said that the corporation wanted to reach out to honest tax payers as a goodwill gesture, so that they don't feel that they are not being encouraged for paying taxes regularly, even as defaulters were being offered concession
LMC officials said there were around 5.4 lakh tax payers in the city. Of these, 2.1 lakh property owners had been paying their taxes to LMC regularly.
Citizens can complain about problems like door-to-door garbage collection, trash collection from localities, sweeping of roads and cleaning of drains.
