Three thrash woman cop, tear her uniform at police station, held
Gurgaon: Three women were arrested for allegedly thrashing an assistant sub-inspector in the women’s police station (west) on Thursday evening.
Around 7pm, the three accused arrived at the police station as one of them had to give her statement in a dowry harassment case. After an argument regarding the case, the three accused allegedly attacked the woman police officer. They were produced in a city court and sent to judicial custody on Friday.

Neha (24) , one of the accused, had previously lodged a complaint against her husband in a case, which is under investigation. She, along with the other two women, identified as Kanta Devi and Bimla alias Pooja were sitting with ASI Rekha in the police station. An argument erupted between them and the trio allegedly attacked Rekha.

In her complaint, ASI Rekha said, “I was only asking for details about the case when they started to beat me up. They also tore my uniform. Additionally, the trio tore the pages of the case file.” She added that other cops helped in cornering the trio, after which she lodged a complaint.

An FIR was filed against the trio under sections 186 (obstructing public servant in discharge of public function), 332 (voluntarily causing hurt to deter public servant from his duty), 353 (assault or criminal force to deter public servant), 506 (criminal intimidation) of IPC at Civil Lines police station.

“The accused confessed to the crime. We produced them in a city court on Friday, from where they were sent to judicial custody,” said sub-inspector Sunita, the investigating officer.
