Temperature rising but still below normal in Delhi

NEW DELHI: After a couple of days of relief, thanks to rain, the mercury is on the rise again in the city. The maximum and minimum temperature on Friday was 32.6 and 18.2 degrees Celsius respectively, both four notches below normal.
On Thursday, the maximum was 30.7 degrees Celsius, six notches below normal, on Wednesday 29.5 degress Celsius, seven points below normal, and on Tuesday it was 30.7 degrees Celsius, six points below normal, as Delhi witnessed rain and thundershower on Tuesday and Wednesday. "On Saturday, mainly clear sky is expected. The maximum and minimum temperatures would be around 35 and 20 degrees Celsius respectively," a MeT official said.
In terms of pollution, the air quality stayed in "moderate" levels as the AQI clocked 157.
According to SAFAR, slight deterioration of air quality is predicted for the next two days to higher end of the same moderate category
Data according to CPCB's central control room, meanwhile, showed Delhi-NCR's average PM2.5 and PM10 readings more than the safe standard on Friday. While the average PM2.5 readings at 7pm were recorded at 69.4 micrograms per cubic metre, the average PM10 readings at the same time were 150.1 micrograms per cubic metre. The safe standard for both these ultra-fine particulates is 60 and 100 micrograms per cubic metres respectively.
