Modi, Shah are running mafia politics: Gundurao

KPCC president Dinesh Gundu RaoHubballi: Launching a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP national president Amit Shah, Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president Dinesh Gundurao alleged that the duo were running mafia politics and people would give them a befitting reply on May 23.
Modi will not return to power and India will elect a new prime minister, he added.
Speaking to reporters here on Saturday Gundurao said, “Modi and Shah destroyed the economy, misused power, destroyed institutions like Enforcement Directorate, Reserve Bank of India, income tax department, Central Bureau of Investigation and Election Commission of India for their selfish political gains. The people of the country will put an end to this Mafia politics.”
Calling Modi a mafia Prime Minister, Gundurao alleged that Modi and Shah subverted all constitutional and autonomous agencies to attain their political motives. “If they return to power they will completely ruin the country and Congress will not allow BJP to do so,” he said.
“BJP has created a sense of fear among the public by calling anyone who speak against BJP and Modi as anti-nationals. BJP is perpetrating mental violence and physical violation and people are scared,” he said.
He also condemned BJP for fielding Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur from Bhopal and termed the move as a testimony for the saffron party’s efforts to communally polarise the election in Madhya Pradesh and other Hindi speaking states. “The true face of the BJP has been exposed now. Look at the language she is speaking. It is the language that BJP has been propagating from the past five years”, he said.
“If any other party had fielded a person facing terror charges, BJP would have made a lot of hue and cry and made it a national issue,” Gundurao added.
