Dry weather for next three days: Met dept
Ludhiana: The temperature in the city has started to rise again after remaining below normal after recent rainfall. Residents are in for a bad news as the met department has predicted dry weather ahead for a few days.
As per the met department, the maximum temperature in city on Friday was recorded at 31.6 degree Celsius, which is four degrees less than normal. The day temperature on Thursday was witnessed at 27.9 degrees Celsius, which was eight degrees less than normal. The minimum (night) temperature on Friday was witnessed at 16.6 degrees Celsius, which a degree less than normal, but 1.7 degrees more than on Thursday.

“The weather is expected to remain dry for the next two to three days. During these days, the day and night temperatures might witness an increase,” said director of met department in Chandigarh Surender Paul. The met department website suggests that the day temperature is expected to rise to 35 degree Celsius till next Tuesday. The night temperature might gradually increase to 21 degree Celsius till Tuesday.


The residents meanwhile have been enjoying the weather conditions prevailing in city.


“The weather was starting to get colder, but after the rainfall stopped, it was back to hot weather again. We had even stopped using fans, but with the increasing temperature, we will definitely have to switch on fans again,” said Balkar Singh, a trader from Civil Lines.


Rashmeet Kaur, a student from BRS Nagar, said, “Weather was hot till Monday and turned to pleasant after rainfall.”
