Two get Rs 2.15cr for plot, cheat buyer, booked

Gurgaon: A woman and her son have been booked for allegedly cheating a Sector 10A resident of Rs 2.15 crore on the pretext of selling him a plot in Sector 21. According to complainant Rajesh Yadav, he finalised the plot deal in May 2016 with Sukanya Rampal and her son Anmol, residents of DLF 3.
“The deal of the plot was finalised at Rs 2.25 crore. I gave them Rs 2.15 crore but they postponed its registry date and started demanding the remaining Rs 10 lakh. Then I found out that they had sold the same plot to another man, named Rakesh Kumar. When I contacted the duo, they refused to return my money and threatened to kill me,” Yadav said.
An FIR was registered against the woman and her son under IPC sections 406 (criminal breach of trust), 420 (cheating) and 120-B (criminal conspiracy) at the DLF 3 police station. tnn
