692 cast vote through postal ballot in Kanpur Nagar

Kanpur: As many as 692 persons engaged in polling duty caste their votes through postal ballot on Thursday while 253 postal ballots were recorded on Wednesday, the second day of postal ballot. The number increased due to initiatives taken by district election officer Vijay Vishwas Pant.
Around 407 personsin Kanpur Nagar parliamentary seat and 285 employees who would perform their duties on April 29 in Akbarpur constituency used their right of vote. According to district election officers office highest count of 134 postal ballots were recorded in Kidwai Nagar while in Govind Nagar, Sisamau, Aryanagar and Kanpur Cantonment 82, 53, 64 and 74 employees respectively used their voting rights.
Similarly, for Akbarpur parliamentary constituency, Kalyanpur recorded the highest postal ballot while Bithoor, Maharajpur, and Ghatampur recorded 30, 97 and 35 postal ballots, respectively.
As per the instructions, employees of various departments engaged in polling process can used their voting rights through postal ballot by April 25. tnn
