‘Details of employees available at Collectorate’

Collector K. Bhaskar said that 55,619 postal ballots were issued to employees who were on election duty.

At a meeting with representatives of political parties on Wednesday, he said the postal ballots were issued in a systematic manner to all those employees who had applied for the same in Form-12 till 5 p.m. on April 7. A total of 27,168 postal ballots were issued for the three Parliamentary constituencies in the district while 28,451 were issued for the 15 Assembly segments.

The details of employees, who had taken postal ballots, are available in the H-Section at the Collectorate. While the list of voters would not be given till the completion of counting, the lists could be seen at the section. A total of 12,284 postal ballots were issued in the last general elections.

Break-up

Mr. Bhaskar said 5,967 postal ballots were issued for Araku Parliamentary constituency, 10,486 for Visakhapatnam and 10,715 for Anakapalle constituency.

Joint Collector G. Srijana, YSRCP representatives V.S. Diwakar, K. Rangayya, S.V. Ramanaji, CPI-M representative V. Harendra Das and H-Section Superintendent Murthy were present at the meeting.
