    Srinagar: 7.9%

    Ganderbal: 17.5%

    Budgam: 21.60%

  • State-wise polling percentage:

    Tamil Nadu: 63.16%

    Jammu and Kashmir: 43.37%

    Maharashtra: 55.37%

    Chhattisgarh: 71.00%

    Manipur: 74.69%

    Puducherry: 78.00%

    Assam: 73.32%

    Bihar: 58.14%

    Karnataka: 64.84%

    West Bengal: 76.07%

  • West Bengal voter turnout till 5.00 pm: 73.4 percent

  • Update: Total voter turnout for Phase 2 has been recorded at 61.1 percent. This is a tentative turnout and is likely to be updated by the Election Commission.

  • Turnout till 5.00 pm:

    Odisha: 64 percent
    Tamil Nadu: 63.7 percent

  • Uttar Pradesh recorded a voter turnout at 51.91 percent till 5.00 pm. This is a tentative number and is likely to be updated by the EC later.

  • Manipur has recorded 69 percent voting till 5.00 pm. Assam registered 62.9 percent while Odisha records 46.6 percent turnout till 5.00 pm.

  • Voter turnout in Karnataka till 5.00 pm was recorded at 57.9 percent. In Tamil Nadu, it was 55.4 percent.

  • Update: Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi leader D Ravikumar, contesting from Villupuram seat, claimed names of close to 500 Muslim and Dalit voters were missing in Tindivanam town, which falls in the constituency. However, senior government officials have denied the allegation. “It is a rumour,” said Mercy Ramya, sub-collector, Tindivanam. “We have not received any such complaints from the voters.”

  • Update: The Congress says it has submitted 33 complaints to the Election Commission about glitches in electronic voting machines (EVMs) at some polling booths across the 10 seats in Maharashtra that are voting in the second phase, PTI reports.

  • 95-year-old dies while waiting to vote outside Odisha booth

    A 95-year-old man collapsed and later died while waiting for his turn to vote, at a polling booth in Ganjam, Odisha. He was rushed to the hospital where he was declared brought dead.

  • EC orders probe after voters upload videos on Facebook

    Election Commission officials have ordered an inquiry after some voters in Osmanabad, Maharashtra, recorded their voting process at a polling booth and posted videos on Facebook.

    As per EC guidelines, voters are not allowed to carry their mobile phones within a 100-metre radius of polling stations on the day of voting, an official said.

  • BJP Yuva Morcha member found hanging from tree in Purulia

    According to ANI, a 22-year-old BJP Yuva Morcha member was found hanging from a tree in Purulia, West Bengal. The district BJP head said a probe was needed to say whether it was suicide or a murder.
