Gujarat: Video of lion pride being chased goes viral

A video grab of the pride of lions scrambling for coverRAJKOT: Another video of a pride of lions being harassed by people went viral on the social media on Wednesday. In the video, family driving in a car is seen chasing the pride of about 15-20, mostly cubs and lionesses along a kutchha narrow road. A voice is heard asking the driver to follow the pride and drive slowly, lest the wild cats disappear in the forest nearby.
The video is believed to be shot somewhere in Amreli district.
DT Vasavada, chief conservator of forest, Junagadh wildlife, said, "We have seen the video and investigating the matter. There is a big pride of three lionesses and their cubs moving around in the area. We have also ordered night patrolling in the area to stop further harassment to the lions."
