Party holds conclave of ‘eminent persons’ from Jain community

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday organised a conference of “eminent persons” from the Jain community on the occasion of Bhagwan Mahavir Jayanti here.

National vice-president and Delhi BJP in-charge Shyam Jaju and organisation general secretary Siddharthan addressed the conference.

“The BJP does not play the politics of vote bank and works with commitment to maintain purity, a corruption-free society and respect people of all the religions. The people belonging to Jain community install Pyaus for the thirsty people, run gaushalas, dharmshalas and hospitals and play an important role in the welfare of the society. The BJP has always respected the Jain community,” Mr. Jaju said.

Greeting the participants, Mr. Siddharthan said that the Jain community had “always supported BJP” and he was of the firm view that “they will help Mr. Modi become the Prime Minister again in 2019 by making the BJP candidates victorious on all the seven seats in Delhi.”
