Gorakhpur: Targeting the Congress party, deputy chief minister Dinesh Sharma said, “Those who didn’t give Rs 72 in 72 years are now talking about giving Rs 72,000 per year. They are only diverting the attention of people from the right path with these slogans and promises.”
Further hitting at Congress, he said, “They broke their promise of waiving farmers’ loans in 10 days in Chhattisgarh while in Uttar Pradesh, BJP has achieved the task of farmer’s loan waiver. There is a stark difference of character of the two parties and their actions.”
Sharma was addressing Vijay Sankalp Yuva Sammelan at Kushinagar on Thursday while the Lok Sabha candidate Vijay Dubey was on stage.
He praised PM Narendra Modi and mocked Rahul Gandhi, saying, “When Modi ji looks at Pakistan it (Pakistan) shivers, while the national president of a party only winks making the children of nation laugh.”
“There are two ideologies before people, on the one hand, BJP talks about nationalism, and on the other, opposition talks about dividing the country. We talk about punishing anti-nationals and opposition talks about ending sedition law. We enter Pakistan and kill and they talk about writing letters,” he added.
Sharma said, “He (Rahul) insulted the people of India when he said ‘chowkidar chor hai’ but today people are saying chowkidar is pure, not chor. It is certain that Modi ji will become PM again.”
“Parties like Telugu Desam, SP, BSP, Trinmool are contesting on few seats only to bargain and not to form government. People today know everything,” he added.
