Share market update: Media shares under pressure; Dish TV falls over 4%

NEW DELHI: Media shares were trading with losses in Thursday's afternoon session.

Shares of Dish TV India (down 4.23 per cent) , Zee Media Corporation (down 3.68 per cent) , Den Networks (down 3.26 per cent) and TV18 Broadcast (down 2.94 per cent) were trading in the red.

Zee Entertainment Enterprises (down 2.15 per cent) , DB Corp (down 1.92 per cent) , Eros International Media (down 1.66 per cent) and TV Today Network (down 1.24 per cent) too were trading with losses.

The Nifty Media index was trading 1.67 per cent down at 2393.15 around 02:07 pm.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 5.75 points at 11,781.40 while the BSE Sensex was 14.81 points at 39,260.83.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 18 were trading in the green, while 32 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, Tata Motors, YES Bank, Wipro, SAIL, ICICI Bank, Ashok Leyland, RIL, Bharti Airtel, SBI, DLF, Bank of Baroda, Infosys, Tata Motors and Vedanta were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
