Spare a thought for selection chief Linda Zondi

Whichever way the selectors go, there will be a backlash. 

However, one would expect that backlash to be more subdued if Amla goes to the World Cup as opposed to him being left out.

For a while now, it has looked a three-horse race for two spots between Amla, Hendricks and Markram, and that still appears to be the case.
