Ladies, we all know there is no worse feeling than cramps during that time of the month.

But you could actually be making it worse if you’re having these foods and drinks during your period.????According to Insider, caffeinated drinks can make your period symptoms worse, that’s what Dr. Rocio Salas-Whalen, an endocrinologist in New York City shared.

Caffeine can help with the narrowing of blood vessels, which "can further worsen cramps during your period."????We all crave chocolate during our period but, don’t over do it!

Chocolate could cause you to have more cramps.

But if you do have a strong craving for it, opt for a darker chocolate as those have ‘less of that effect’ according to Dr. Whalen.????What should you be eating?

According to Women’s Health Magazine, protein and potassium rich foods can help reduce bloating.

So bananas, cantaloupe, tomatoes, and asparagus should be on your plate during that time of the month, says Isabel Smith, a New York City-based celebrity dietitian and fitness expert.

????Just make sure you’re getting a lot of Netflix and Chill as well!
