SAD-BJP workers to start door-to-door campaign
Ludhiana: SAD-BJP leaders will kickstart the campaign for senior Akali leader and candidate Maheshinder Singh Grewal by highlighting the welfare schemes and initiatives of the BJP-led Modi government at the Centre, and that of the SAD-BJP government in Punjab. In a booth-level meeting of party workers late on Tuesday evening, it was decided that supporters would indulge in a door-to-door campaign in favour of Grewal in the areas which may not be covered by him.

BJP state general secretary Praveen Bansal said: “The Congress government has failed to do anything in the past two years, and development works going on during the SAD-BJP regime have been stalled. Even Congress MP Ravneet Bittu did nothing in the past five years.” SAD district president Ranjit Dhillon said the party would open its main election office this week, along with nine sub-offices in each constituency for reaching out to masses during the election campaign.
