HUBBALLI: Prime Minister Modi is sowing illusions among voters, specifically among youths, said KPCC vice president V R Sudarshan.

Speaking to reporters here on Wednesday, Sudarshan said mere glorification of illusions won’t last long and youths should understand the difference between illusions and dreams.

“Modi is often questioning the Congress culture but he has not understood that Congress has a great heritage of building the nation involving visionaries like Mahatma Gandhi, Ambedkar and Jawaharlal Nehru. With the intention of making youths participate in democracy Rajiv Gandhi reduced the minimum age for voting from 21 to 18. Though surgical strikes were conducted eight times during UPA’s rule, Manmohan Singh did not speak about it for political gains. Manmohan Singh, Siddaramaiah and H D Kumaraswamy governments have waived loans of farmers. This is our culture,” he claimed.

“Modi declared demonetization without informing the finance minister and the RBI. He used two surgical strikes conducted in last five years for his political gains. As he has no achievement in development and job sectors, he is trying to provoke people’s sentiments in the name of patriotism,” he alleged.
