Puducherry Lok Sabha constituency records 37% polling till 1pm

PUDUCHERRY: Polling began in a sluggish note to the lone Lok Sabha seat in the Union territory of Puducherry but picked up momentum as the day progressed.
By 1pm, 37% of the voters had exercised their franchise.
Polling began in a peaceful note in all polling stations in the Union territory. There were a few stray incidents of delay due to malfunctioning of electronic voting machines.
Bypolls to the Thattanchavady assembly constituency also began in a sluggish note but by 1pm, 36.19% of the people exercised their franchise.
By 1pm, 37% of the voters had exercised their franchise.
