The slab of a window of an under-construction officers’ rest house collapsed on platform 1 at Dadar railway station during evening peak hours on Wednesday. The Railway Police said the incident occurred around 6.15 p.m. at the north-end of the platform on the Western Line.

“The slab fell much ahead of the stopping point of north-bound local trains. The tail end of the platform was empty and no local had arrived at the time of the incident,” an official said.
