Lloyd Center for the Environment educator/naturalist Amanda Palmer is leading a public Dusk Hike to explore what happens during the transition from daylight to dark.

The event gives participants an opportunity to learn about the animals that come out between the light of day and darkness of night. “Explore the woods to find where these crepuscular creatures roam and where nocturnal animals are hiding,” a press release says. “Be sure to dress for the weather and bring your imagination to this action-packed night.”

April Dusk Hike will take place on Friday, April 26, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Participants are to meet at the Lloyd Center for the Environment’s lower parking lot located at 430 Potomska Road in Dartmouth. The cost of the Center’s April Dusk Hike for Lloyd Center members is $8 for individuals and $24 for a family of four. For non-members, the price is $10 for individuals, and $30 for a family of four.

To pre-register, visit https://lloydcenter.org/calendar and register online or call Palmer in the Lloyd Center Education Department at 774-628-9241. Pre-registration for this event is required by 3 p.m. on Wednesday, April 24.
