A North Wales man has appeared in court accused of causing the death of a woman in a crash which he allegedly fled from.

Joseph Berry of Fenwick Drive in Wrexham charged with causing death by dangerous driving, failing to stop at the scene of a collision, failing to report a collision, driving while disqualified and driving with no insurance.

It comes after a serious crash between a black Mercedes estate, allegedly being driver by Berry, 38, and a red Range Rover on Saturday, November 24, on Meadowview in Elton, Cheshire.

A 37-year-old woman called Teresa McGuire - a passenger in the Mercedes - was taken to the Countess of Cheshire Hospital where she died.
