The Election Commission of India (ECI) today gave its permission for approval of forest clearance cases & cutting of trees of sanctioned National Highways, fixing of appointed date and start of work, float tenders, announcement of land acquisition award project sanctioned by Government of India.
Disclosing this here today Chief Electoral Officer, Punjab Dr. S Karuna Raju said that Commission has no objection to the proposals as made therein subject to the condition that no publicity should be given and no political mileage shall be taken by anyone.
