As many as 50 shops of vegetable vendors were gutted in a fire accident that took place in China Bazaar of Vizianagaram.
According to officials, the fire occurred due to blast of a gas cylinder on Sunday midnight and spread within no time.
Fire service personnel rushed to the spot and doused the flames. As the incident occurred in the night, the fire had spread thick and fast.

Property worth around ₹10 lakh was reportedly damaged. The vendors sought immediate help from the government. District Collector M. Hari Jawaharlal directed revenue officials to assess the damage and take necessary steps.
