An elderly couple have been left thousands of dollars out of pocket after a rogue tenant dumped massive piles of rubbish at their home.
Mohi Te Purei Parker, 82, and Piki Parker, 75, had to pay for skip bins to carry away the mounds of filthy waste scattered around their property in Levin, New Zealand.
The Parkers had lived at the three-bedroom home for more than 20 years, but rented it out after moving to nearby Porirua.

In addition to cleaning up the disgusting mess left at the home, the couple are also chasing $3113 in unpaid rent money after the tenant stopped paying.
'It's just not fair. We didn't deserve this,' Mrs Parker told the New Zealand Herald.
Mrs Parker said the tenant had worked as a lawnmower, and had strewn grass and plant waste in the backyard during his eight-month stay at the home.

The couple said they would move back into the home once the cleanup had finished and would never rent it out again.
Neighbours had helped them get rid of the rubbish at the property.
The tenant left behind their belongings and had until midnight last week to pick them up, according to the Tenancy Tribunal.
