Squall, light rain hit parts of Delhi-NCR

NEW DELHI: Light rain accompanying squall along with high wind hit parts of Delhi, Noida and Gurugram on Tuesday evening.

Earlier, the national capital experienced light rain on Tuesday morning after which the MeT officials had predicted that there would be some relief from heat in the next 48 hours.


The minimum temperature on Tuesday dropped five notches to 20.5 degrees Celsius in the national capital after the early morning rain.


The mercury touched 40 degrees Celsius — three notches above normal — the highest yet this season on Monday. Previous highest this season was 39.3 degrees Celsius recorded on April 5.


The minimum temperature on Monday was 25.5 degrees Celsius, five degree above normal at this time of the year.
