NEW DELHI: Rohit Shekhar Tiwari, son of late former Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand CM N D Tiwari has died, reported news agency ANI.

According to DCP south Delhi Vijay Kumar, Rohit Shekhar Tiwari was brought dead to Max Saket hospital.

Sources have said that Rohit Shekhar reportedly died due to heart attack, but there is no official confirmation yet. He used to reside in his Delhi's Defence Colony home, from where he was reportedly brought to the hospital.

Rohit Shekhar had filed a paternity suit in 2008 seeking to declare N D Tiwari as his biological father. However, Tiwari had initially denied the claims.

However, the Delhi high court had later on declared Rohit Shekhar as Tiwari's biological son.

The late senior Congress leader had also publicly accepted Rohit Shekhar as his biological son, and later married his mother Ujjwala.

Further details are awaited.
