NCR AVTMs for rly tickets, soon

Allahabad: Allahabad division of the North Central Railways (NCR) would soon be completing the installation work of 23 automatic ticket vending machines (AVTMs) at various stations of the division. Of these, nine are being installed at Allahabad Junction. PRO of Allahabad division S K Gupta informed TOI that these 23 will be in addition to 62 AVTMs that are already working at several stations of the division.
Among these, nine AVTM are being installed at Allahabad, five at Kanpur Central, one each at Subedarganj, Khurja and Shankargarh and two each at Kanpur Anwarganj, Naini and Allahabad Cheoki.

The 62 AVTM, that have been already been installed include Chunar (2), Mirzapur (3), Vindhyachal (2), Manda Road (1), Allahabad Cheoki (2), Naini (2), Bharwari (1), Sirathu (1), Fatehpur (3), Kanpur Central (6), Govindpuri (2) and others.

“There would be facilitators with these machines to guide passengers in getting the ticket and get rid of long queues,” said Gupta.
