Just one year after the wiaa approved a new southwest conference realignment plan for the 2019 high school football season... a shake up in the coulee region is coming again in 2020.... the wiaa board of control unanimously approved a new statewide football-only conference realignment plan today by a 9-0 vote.

The plan address competitive balance...allowi ng schools to play in a conference against teams with similar enrollment totals and roster sizes.

And allows teams to play enough conference games to meet playoff qualifications.
