CHENNAI: DMK president M K Stalin on Tuesday appealed to the party cadre to bow down before voters and be friendly with them so that the party and its allies will get votes.
In a letter, Stalin wanted the party cadre to be vigilant at the polling booths as “there are efforts by others to prevent us from winning the elections.”
"The cadre must get each and every vote for the party and its alliance parties without losing even one vote. They must see people vote for the DMK symbol as well as alliance parties’ symbols so that we will be able to show which party must be at the Centre," said Stalin.
“People are against the Centre and the Tamil Nadu government, and we must work for defeating the ruling parties even if they are using money to woo voters,” Stalin said.
He accused the flying squads of only targeting the candidates of the DMK and its allies.
