MUMBAI: Union minister and senior BJP leader Nitin Gadkari on Monday blamed Congress-NCP for the water crisis in Marathwada and Latur, saying irrigation projects were only completed under the BJP government.
Addressing a rally in Maharashtra’s Latur, Gadkari said he would turn Marathwada into California if BJP is voted to power again. Gadkari, the union water resources minister, said that he takes responsibility of ending water scarcity woes of Latur and the drought-prone region as a whole.
