Day temp falls by 10 degrees after dust storm, light drizzle

Kanpur: The day temperature fell by 10 degrees Celsius in the city following dust storm which set in early hours on Tuesday. Light drizzle in the evening hours made the weather pleasant providing much relief to the denizens from the scorching heat.
Dense black clouds enveloped the city throughout the day, and it appeared it would rain heavily.
The mercury had touched 41.4 degrees mark on Monday afternoon which was the hottest day of the season, but on Tuesday afternoon, the day temperature fell below the average value and was recorded at 31 degrees.
According to the Met department of CSA University, strong gusty winds blew throughout the city at the speed of approximately 10km/per hour. Weather is likely to remain same on Wednesday as well, the Met department said and added the minimum temperature recorded on Tuesday was 26.8 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature on Monday was 21.6 degrees while maximum temperature at 26.8 degrees made night hours hot, the Met department further said.
