Delhi receives light rains

Cloudy skies, light rains and winds gave some to Delhiities Tuesday from the scorching heat.

The maximum temperature was recorded at 30.7 degrees Celsius, six notches above the normal, while the minimum settled at 20.5 degrees Celsius, a notch below normal, the Meteorological (MeT) office said.

However, this was nearly 10 degrees lesser than what was recorded Monday.

"We can expect comfortable to persist on Wednesday as well. As per the weathermen, we can expect more pre-monsoon activities on Wednesday, but with a reduced intensity," Skymet, a private forecasting agency, said.

The maximum temperature is expected to hover around 36 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature may touch 28 degrees Celsius, the said.
