New Delhi: Punjab National Bank (PNB) has appointed Rajesh Kumar Yaduvanshi as the executive director of the bank with effect from 15 April, the state-run lender said Tuesday.
Yaduvanshi brings with him a diversified experience of over three decades in banking industry, having held senior positions in the banking sector both in India and abroad, PNB said. He has also worked with Dena Bank in the capacity of an executive director.
Yadivanshi, who has spent 34 years in the banking industry, had joined PNB as a management trainee in 1985.
He holds a doctorate in science from lndian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi, and is a certified associate member of lndian lnstitute of Bankers.
With his appointment, PNB now has three executive directors, the others being L.V. Prabhakar and A.K. Azad.
On Tuesday, PNB shares fell 1.12% to ₹92.75 apiece on the BSE while the benchmark Sensex gained 0.95% to end the day at a fresh record high of 39,275.64 points.
