Landry church-arson suspect holden matthews has been denied bail and is now facing hate crime charges.[take vo] ááávoáá} yesterday the prosecution called state fire marshal butch browning to testify that they had evidence of holden purchasing a gas can, oil rags and a black lighter before the fires were set.
Browning also said that matthews' phone records placed him at the scene when the fires were set.
The judge denied matthews bond stating that since the fbi is also considering federal hate crime charges, he should stay in jail.
