HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. (PRWEB) April 16, 2019

Author Gwen Finestone, MFT, Ph.D., CT has recently released her new book, “Finding the Gems,” a spiritual guide that helps readers overcome major life trauma and loss and teaches them to lead a happy and positive life without letting their tragedies define them.

In the book, Dr. Finestone blends psychology, spirituality, humanism, meaning and purpose to help readers free themselves from the pain of their losses. Each chapter begins with a quote for readers to internalize and meditate on and concludes with spiritual lessons readers can take away from the experience taught in each chapter.

Finestone has spent four decades helping countless people work through their life traumas from childhood into adulthood and wanted to find a way to help people without them having to come into a counseling session.

“I wanted to help as many people I can to heal on their own terms,” said Finestone. “Attitude is important, but to overcome trauma it takes hard work, and I want my readers to know they’re worth it.”

“Finding the Gems” demonstrates Finestone’s passion for helping others heal. The book is sure to inspire readers to work toward a happier state of mind and spirit despite their losses.
