When we enroll ourselves in a new gym or in a new fitness class, we all pledge to religiously follow our schedule no matter what. But how many of us are actually able to live up to the promise we made? Not many, we guess.
Keeping up with the workout schedule is not easy. Sometimes you are too tired, hungry or lazy to even think about working out, which is absolutely fine.
Skipping your workout becomes a problem when you skip for more than two days in a row, say experts.
It’s incredibly easy for one missed workout to turn into two, three and more. It’s okay to miss one or two workouts but the key is never to skip more than two days in a row.
Why?
If you don’t want to lose your gym motivation, you need to keep up with your healthy routine and not skip your fitness class for more than two days.
If you do not feel like going to the gym on certain days, you can keep up with healthy habits like a quick 15-minute workout at home, going for a walk in the park, taking stairs instead of a lift, eating healthy and saying no to added sugar. Following a proper workout routine helps to keep up your motivation.
Tip
Eating a healthy diet, keeping up with your everyday workout, going to the office every day, giving your family time etc can be tricky when you are working full time. Do not be harsh on yourself, go slow and take one step at a time.
