The English Royality has inspired many authors to write fictional tales based on them. But now, interestingly, a new romance novel has been penned which is based on American actress-turned-Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle's mother Doria Ragland.
New York Times bestselling author Jasmine Guillory has written a fictional love story titled
Royal Holiday inspired by Ragland. The story of Royal Holiday centers around Vivian Forest, who is the mother of a successful stylist. When her daughter Maddie is invited for a business trip to the United Kingdom to style a royal family member, Vivian decides to accompany her and spend the holidays together. While Maddie is busy with her work, Vivian unexpectedly falls in love for Malcolm Hudson who works as the Queen's Private Secretary.
The author's inspiration to write this romance novel was a simple tweet about Ragland a few months back. On November 4, 2018 Margaret H. Willison, librarian and Two Bossy Dames co-host, tweeted a magazine's link about the royal family's plans for Christmas. She wrote,"I... NEED a charming romance about the single mother of a new Duchess falling in love with an appropriately aged royal retainer while spending Christmas at Sandringham." And Guillory was quick to reply to the tweet saying, "I VOLUNTEER AS TRIBUTE." Now, months later the author revealed the details about her book Royal Holiday by replying on the same tweet.
She further tweeted:
Published by Berkley, Royal Holiday by Jasmine Guillory will release on October 1, 2019.
