The Election Commission has deployed more Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) for the second phase of polling in West Bengal on Thursday.
The EC has deployed 195 companies of the central forces in Darjeeling, Jalpaiguri and Raiganj Lok Sabha constituencies.
In Raiganj, 64 companies have been deployed, special police observer Vivek Dube told presspersons after meeting district officials in Raiganj on Tuesday. According to the EC, about 80% of the booths in the three Lok Sabha seats will have central forces.
