Two booked under PSA in J-K

Two persons were detained on Tuesday under the Public Safety Act (PSA) in and Samba districts of Jammu and Kashmir, police said.

from Chanderkote was taken into custody in district and lodged in under the PSA, a police said.

Ashraf has four cases registered against him under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act at different police stations, he said.

A dossier for his detention was prepared by the police and submitted to the competent authority who issued an order for his detention under the PSA, the said.

In Samba, an alleged cattle smuggler, Mohammad Hussain, was detained under the PSA and lodged in Hiranagar sub-jail, he said.

The accused hails from Manohar Gopala village of Samba and has been booked in several cases of cattle smuggling in the district, the said.
