Thane: Engineer updates WhatsApp status before jumping in Kasheli creek

THANE: A 21-year-old engineer working with a private company tried to end his life by jumping into Kasheli creek in Bhiwandi on Monday. The victim has been identified as Arman Irfan Ahmed Alvi and was a resident of Indira Nagar in Thane.
Before taking the drastic step, Alvi updated his WhatsApp status where he said that he was taking this step as he was unable to fulfill his family’s dreams and didn’t want to live. The witness who saw Alvi jumping into creek informed the cops. Search operations were on to find out the body. The police has found that Alvi last spoke to his mother on phone and sounded normal.
The police said they are trying to investigate the reason behind the suicide. At the time of going to the press, police had recovered his driving license and mobile phone.
