'Thoko niti' of ‘baba’ regime in Uttar Pradesh: Akhilesh Yadav in Kasganj

AGRA: Since the inception of BJP regime in Uttar Pradesh, the baba (chief minister Yogi Adityanath) had adopted ‘Thoko niti’ (encounter policy) in the state, said former CM Akhilesh Yadav, while addressing public gathering in Kasganj on Monday.

Raising question on law and order in the state, Akhilesh said, "In the policy both the public and police attempts to encounter each other. Baba also destroyed world’s best quick police response system of Dial 100 borrowed from US."

He was in Kasganj to gather support for Kunwar Devendra Singh Yadav, the SP-BSP candidate for Etah constituency. Interestingly, the Samajwadi party president claimed that in five-year his government filled over 70,000 vacancies of constable rank post in police. “In our regime we selected candidates based on merit, as we believe there was no need of entrance for a job in which a man has to use baton for security. Only training, good uniform and diet along with baton can help in chasing away goons,” he said.

Akhilesh said, "Before coming into power in UP, BJP had claimed that those who are wanted or are booked under serious offence charges will be sent to jail, but one of them became CM.”

“The saffron party claims itself to be disciplined party and blames us for hooliganism and unruliness, but inke sansad ne 21 jhutoo ki salami di thi Vidyaka ko public me (its MP rained shoes on its MLA in public domain). What kind culture are they trying to bring in society?,” questioned Akhilesh.

Pointing his gun at PM Narendra Modi, the 45-year-old two time CM of UP said, “We thought we have chosen pradhan mantra but he became prachar mantra. Earlier in 2014 he was chaiwala now he has become chowkidar. He target our SP-BSP grand alliance as milawati gatbandhan, but his party has formed alliance with 38 parties. They have learn from Germany to build a wall of division and rule, but our alliance will demolish this hatred wall.”
