Lucknow: Card cloning casts web on three more

LUCKNOW: Three government employees were conned of Rs 2 lakh in separate cases on Sunday. All cases were reported at Hazratganj police's cybercell.
In the first case, Harsh Nath Singh of Thakurganj lost Rs 1.10 lakh to card cloning. In his complaint, he said that on Saturday he received two messages on his phone alerting him about two fraudulent transactions of Rs 55,000 each. In the second case, Gomtinagar residents and an Indian Railways staffer was conned of Rs 50,000 on Sunday. In her complaint, Verma said that she got a text message intimating her that Rs 50,000 was debited from her account. However, she didn't make any transaction, she told the police in her complaint.
Another government staffer, Vijay Chauhan of Sarojininagar was conned of Rs 40,000. Cybercell inspector Nandlal said complaints have been registered in all three cases and efforts are on to crack them.
