Severe thunderstorms are expected over the north-eastern parts of KwaZulu-Natal on Tuesday, as provided by the South African Weather Service.

Temperatures along the coast are expected to be cool.

It will be partly cloudy and warm in Gauteng, with isolated showers and thundershowers. The expected UVB sunburn index will be high.

Mpumalanga is expected to be warm to hot in the Lowveld. Otherwise, it will be fine and cool becoming partly cloudy with isolated showers and thundershowers, except in the east.

It will be partly cloudy with isolated showers and rain in Limpopo.

It will be partly cloudy in the extreme eastern and north-eastern parts of the North West at first. Isolated showers and thundershowers are expected. Otherwise, it will be fine and warm, but cool in the extreme south.

The Free State is expected to be partly cloudy in the extreme north-eastern parts at first. Otherwise, it will be fine and cool. Isolated showers and thundershowers are expected.

Morning fog patches are expected in the extreme southern parts of the Northern Cape where it will be cold in places. Otherwise, it will be fine and cool, but warm in the extreme north. The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong.

It will be fine in the western parts of the Western Cape. Otherwise, it will be partly cloudy and cool but cloudy along the south coast and adjacent interior. Light rain is expected along the south coast in the morning. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh. The expected UVB sunburn index will be high.

The Eastern Cape is expected to be cloudy with mist in places at first. Otherwise, it will be partly cloudy and cool, becoming cloudy with a 30% chance of light rain south of the escarpment at night.  The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh.

Morning fog is expected over the interior of KwaZulu-Natal. Otherwise, it will be partly cloudy and warm but cool in the south, becoming cloudy in the afternoon. Isolated showers and thundershowers are expected, but scattered in the northeast. The wind along the coast will be light to moderate. The expected UVB sunburn index will be moderate.
