A BJP worker in Uttar Pradesh's Moradabad on Monday slammed regional political parties for fielding candidates who allegedly disrespected India's national song, Vande Mataram. What followed his comment was not only comical but also left the individual embarrassed.
When the young BJP worker Shivam Aggarwal was asked to sing the national song, he was left stumped.
Aggarwal, who had a VVIP pass for BJP's Sankalp rally in the region, only managed to take out his mobile phone and became stressed when asked to sing Vande Mataram.
The young BJP supporter kept staring at his phone for most parts of the interview and hesitated further when he was asked to share details about Vande Mataram's history.
That, however, was not the end of Aggarwal's discomfiture. After failing to sing the national song, the BJP supporter was asked to sing the national anthem of India, Jana Gana Mana. The result was no different.
