NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2019 admit card/hall ticket today, i.e., Monday, April 15, 2019.
Candidates who have applied for the NEET UG 2019 can download their admit card from the official NTA NEET website (https://ntaneet.nic.in/) through candidate login by entering their credentials like Application No. and Password.
The candidates are advised to download the admit card from the official website only. The direct link to download the admit card will be updated here once it is active on the official website of the NTA NEET.
NEET 2019: Important Information about Admit Card
Candidates may please note that Admit Cards will not be sent by post. When candidate will download the Admit Card, a copy of the same in PDF format will also be emailed to the candidate on the registered email id. The Admit Card will bear the candidate’s Roll Number, Name, Father’s Name, Category, Sub-Category, Photograph, Signature, Date of Birth, Language of Question Paper with Name and Address of examination Centre allotted.
The NTA will conduct the NEET examination on Sunday, May 5, 2019 in single shift from 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm. The duration of NEET (UG) - 2019 will be 03 hours from 02:00 p.m. to 05:00 p.m. Candidates should note that no entry will be allowed after 1.30 p.m. in examination hall.
Candidates should also note that the Examination Centre will open two (02) hours before the commencement of the test. No candidate will be allowed to enter the Examination Centre after 1:30 p.m. Therefore, candidates must ensure that they leave home well in advance considering all facts like traffic, location of the centre and weather conditions, etc. Candidates are expected to take their seats immediately after the opening of the Examination Hall.
NEET 2019: Exam Day Schedule
The NEET 2019 result is likely to be declared on June 5, 2019.
Admissions to the MBBS/BDS seats will be done through NEET (UG) – 2019 in Medical/Dental Colleges run with the approval of Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India under the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India except for the institutions established through an Act of Parliament i.e. AIIMS and JIPMER Puducherry.
The NEET (UG) - 2019 will be conducted in offline mode i.e., pen and paper test. Candidates should also note that the admissions in 100% MBBS/BDS seats will be done through the NEET (UG) only. There will be negative marking in NEET (UG) - 2019. Each correct answer will get 04 marks and for each incorrect response, 01 mark will be deducted from the total score.
NEET 2019: Admission Quota
Admissions to all seats of MBBS/BDS will be done through NEET (UG)-2019. Following are the seats, available under different quotas: -
• All India Quota Seats
• State Government Quota Seats
• Central Institutions/Universities/Deemed Universities
• State/Management/NRI Quota Seats in Private Medical / Dental Colleges or any Private University
• Central Pool Quota Seats
NEET 2019: Question paper language
The NEET (UG) - 2019 will be conducted in many regional languages like — Hindi, English, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Odia, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.
Candidates please note that the allotment of medium of language would be State-specific. If any candidate is opting regional language as medium of question paper, he/she will be allotted centre only in respective states of particular regional language. Candidates opting for regional languages would be provided Bilingual Test Booklet i.e. in selected language and in English. In case of any ambiguity in translation of any of the questions, its English version shall be treated as final.
NEET 2019: Rank and percentile score calculation formula
The NTA will declare the result based on the qualifying criteria provided by Medical/Dental Council of India and All India Rank based on the marks obtained in NEET (UG) - 2019. A percentile rank is the percentage of score that falls below a given score in a group. The Percentile score of a Candidate will be calculated as follows:
100 X (multiply by) Number of candidates appeared with raw score equal to or less than the candidate / (divided by) Total number of the candidates appeared.
NEET 2019: Documents to be carried on the exam day
Candidates must bring the following documents on the day of examination at the test centre. Candidates who will not bring these will not be allowed to sit in the examination and will lead to his/her disqualification.
• Print copy of Admit Card downloaded from NTA’s website.
• One passport size photograph (same as uploaded on the online Application Form) for pasting on the specific space in the attendance sheet at Centre during NEET (UG) Examination.
• Any one of the authorized photo IDs (must be original, valid and non-expired) – PAN card/Driving License/Voter ID/Passport/Aadhaar Card (with photograph)/Ration Card/any other.
• PwD certificate issued by the Competent Authority, if claiming the relaxation under PwD category.
NEET 2019: Barred Items
The candidates are not allowed to carry the following items inside the Examination Centre under any circumstances. The candidates will be subjected to extensive and compulsory frisking before entering the Examination Centre with the help of highly sensitive metal detectors.
a) Any stationery item like textual material (printed or written), bits of papers, Geometry/Pencil Box, Plastic Pouch, Calculator, Pen, Scale, Writing Pad, Pen Drives, Eraser, Calculator, Log Table, Electronic Pen/Scanner etc.
b) Any communication device like Mobile Phone, Bluetooth, Earphones, Microphone, Pager, Health Band etc.
c) Other items like Wallet, Goggles, Handbags, Belt, Cap etc.
d) Any Watch/Wrist Watch, Bracelet, Camera, etc.
e) Any ornaments
f) Any eatable item opened or packed, water bottle etc.
g) Any other item which could be used for unfairmeans, by hiding communication devices like microchip, camera, Bluetooth device etc.
NEET 2019: Dress Code
The candidates are instructed to follow the following dress code while appearing for NEET (UG) - 2019:
a) Light clothes with half sleeves, long sleeves are not permitted. However in case, candidates come in cultural/ customary dress at the Examination Centre, they should report at least an hour before the last reporting time i.e. 12.30 noon so that there is enough time for proper frisking without any inconvenience to the candidate while maintaining the sanctity of the examination.
b) Slippers, sandals with low heels are permitted. Shoes are not permitted. It is advised that the candidates must follow instructions issued by the NTA strictly.
