Investigation officer SI Shiv Bhawan Tiwari said that Nand Kishore Ahirwar, 29, resides with his family in Gandhi Nagar and works as electrician in state electricity department. He told police that on Friday he received a call from aanganwadi centre at Arjun ward and the staff told him to bring his son for vaccination. He informed his mother after which she and his wife Kavita took the boy to the centre. He said that the staff had told his wife and mother not to worry if the boy cries after vaccination and massage him with ice on the injection spot. In the night when the boy started crying and his condition deteriorated they rushed him to Kamla Nehru hospital where he died. Gandhi Nagar police reached the spot on getting information and registered a case.
SI Tiwari said that Nand Kishore alleged that the aanganwadi staff administered three vaccines to the boy at the same time due to which he died. He said that the exact cause of death will be clear after getting the post-mortem report.
